Shawn Jacob, DO

Dr. Shawn Jacob is a skilled psychiatrist providing comprehensive care at NYC Psychiatric Associates. He was born and raised in New York, where he also completed all of his training. He earned his medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. 

Dr. Jacob completed his internship year in Internal Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai / New York City Health and Hospital (Queens). He then completed his psychiatry residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx.

Having trained in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry, Dr. Jacob offers a holistic approach to patients understanding the interplay between physical and mental health. He understands the combination of psychotherapy and psychopharmacology to effectively treat psychiatric symptoms. 

Dr. Jacob treats various conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, anxiety, ADHD and post-traumatic stress disorder.
